Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-16
This Privacy Policy explains what Passn collects, why, and your choices. We aim to collect as little as possible.
1. What we collect
- Account: email address and a hashed password (managed by our auth provider).
- Profile: display name, username, age, gender, country, languages, interests and an optional avatar URL you provide.
- Safety data: reports, blocks, and a device fingerprint / hashed IP used to prevent abuse and ban evasion.
- Match metadata: who matched with whom and when, plus in-match text messages (kept only briefly).
2. What we do NOT collect
- We do not record, store, or watch your video or audio. Calls are peer-to-peer between users.
- We do not sell your personal data.
3. How we use data
To provide matching, keep the community safe, prevent abuse, and operate and improve the service.
4. Sharing
We share data only with infrastructure providers (e.g. hosting, database and auth) as needed to run Passn, and when required by law.
5. Retention
Match signals and messages are deleted shortly after a session ends. Account and profile data is kept until you delete your account.
6. Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete your data. To delete your account or request your data, contact privacy@example.com.
7. Children
Passn is strictly for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 and will remove such accounts.
8. Changes
We may update this policy; we'll revise the date above when we do.
This is a starter template, not legal advice. Have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer before launch.
